  • Old Business

1) Tractor Committee: do we want one ? Larry McClurg suggested we have a committe made up of the grounds crew to look for a tractor for use on the LBC site. This was voted on and carried by a member vote.

2) The Club fly has a couple of holes in it about the size of a dime, needs to be fixed before it gets larger. Gordan Hubble offered to fix this.

3) Do we want to purchase hooters ? Do we take care of it or will we be able to have someone come in to clean it when they come for the ones we rent ? What about storage ? How much would it cost to buy several hooters ? Buying the hooters will save the club money in the long run and sooner or later the DEC will come to us about our hooters we have on the site as they are not going to be up to code. We will do further investigating into the cost of buying 3 regular and 1 handicapped and also find out the cost of cleaning them as well. This will be discussed at the March meeting again.

4) Coming in for free to the Joey this year ? Sue Smith suggested to lower the cost of the Joey to $20 and raise the dues by $5...lol. Since were looking into buying hooters and a tractor this year or soon we should leave the Joey as is, suggested by Larry McClurg. The Joey will remain at the fee it's at, voted on by the members and passed.

5) Bert Gates is putting together a book of stories to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the club, he would appreciate any stories you may have. These will be read at the Joey. We will be having a cake to celebrate our 25 year anniversary of the club at the March meeting, Sandy Hall will make the cake. Thank you Sandy !!

6) Membership Committee report : Rich Hise announced we have new members Rick & Joan Hale - Welcome !! Other applicants are Gordon Hubbell ,Heather O'Meara, John Waldecker (JW). Joe and Ruth Py are also Associate members. Matt Huling resigned and chose not to finish his application.

7) Grounds Committee report: "IT'S WHITE !!! "

8) Steell is going out of the powder business so if you'd like any, whatever is in the back of his truck is it !

9) Joey - Already have the gun which will not be given if less tha 5 kids sign up, something else will be given instead. We need to repair signs, do a little painting and such, Rose Burton and Samantha Herring and Heather O'Meara volunteered to do this. A tent was donated for the Joey "free" from Tent Smith's which will be used as a prize in one way or another. Bob Smith, Rick Hale and Jim Ferris volunteered to do the Jr. Woods Walk. Other help is still needed so if you would like to help out give Larry Marangoni a shout. David Irwin is doing the Woods Walk this year, he needs about 8-10 people to help with it, he has about 8 stations already done. There will be a work crew for April 9th of just a few people to cut the wood up as it's all that needs to be done as soon as the guys can get into the site. The other work party dates are going to be April 11th, May 14th, May 28th with that being the early setup for members..

10) Karen Hise asked if we were going to handle the checks for the Joey Registration differently than last year as the Post Office had lost some in the mail. We are going back to the old way of Louise depositing them in the LBC account and then letting Rose know the amount through email. We did receive the checks that were missing finally but it was after the event was over...

  • New Business

1) We need to update our first aid kits, we don't have enough in them to cover bigger things like scrapes, burns, cuts..

2) Again, if anyone in the club is ill or hurt please let Rose know so we can get the word out to the club members if anyone would like to send a card or give a call.

3) We had a xmas party this year which went very well. About 30 some members were able to make it and a good time was had by all.. Thank you to all who helped in the planning and helping put on this event !! We are planning on having another party this coming year on December 3, 2011 at the York Town Hall again. As the time gets closer we'll remind members. Lin Hoefer suggested we put a limit on how much the club can spend for this event, a $400 limit was suggested and passed by vote of members.. The party this year cost the club $386.06.

4) The shed at the site needs to be cleaned out and kept in order. If you are taking things out of the shed, please put them back in where you got them, don't just set them inside the door. Also, there will be a sign up sheet made and kept in the shed for rental of the club fly, anyone who rents out the club fly will sign this sheet as to when they took it and brought it back.

5) A cash raffle was suggested by Larry Marangoni to raise some money for the club to go towards buying a new tractor. Lin Hoefer suggested we sell the tickets for $5 a piece as it was easier to sell them for that price than higher.. Rich Hise motioned to table this until the March meeting so people had time to think it over.. motion was passed and will be discussed at the March meeting.

7) Lin Hoefer would like any and all pictures that members can come up with of any members from past to present to put together something special for the 25th Anniversary of the Joey next year.. please send any you may have to her, if they are actual pictures and not files, she will scan them and give them back to you, thank you !!
